Respawn Entertainment has shared a new nine-minute video with gameplay footage from the upcoming Star Wars action-adventure game Jedi: Survivor.

2019’s sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order builds on the original with five different combat stances, new movement techniques, and new planets to explore.

All of this is shown in a new trailer in which the protagonist, Cal Kestis, and his droid companion BD-1 explore the new planet Koboh after it crash-landed.

The trailer also shows how Cal Kestis can forcefully throw environmental objects such as boulders, and plenty of action is shown with the double-ended lightsaber, after the weapon is unlocked at the end of Fallen Order. . Watch the video below.

Earlier this week, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor suffered a six-week delay. The game was supposed to be released on March 17, but will now arrive on April 28 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

“In order for the team to meet Respawn’s quality bar, give the team the time they need, and achieve the level of polish our fans deserve, we’ve added six crucial weeks to our release schedule,” said said Respawn, revealing that the game was over. “We are now fully focused on the endgame: bug fixes to improve performance, stability, polish, and most importantly, player experience,” the studio added.

Cameron Monaghan, the actor behind Cal Kestis in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor, teased that the upcoming sequel will have a “deeper, darker story” that will be accessible to non-Star Wars fans.

“We have a really interesting story with Cal, who faces tough challenges and doesn’t necessarily have the right answers. It’s something I’ve always wanted to explore with the character,” he explains.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes place five years after the events of the original, when a more experienced Kestis continues his fight against the tyranny of the Empire.

In other news, Redhook Studios has confirmed that Darkest Dungeon 2 will be leaving Early Access later this year and will be available on Steam.
