Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick have shared a new version of Miley Cyrus’ latest single, “Flowers.”

The cover is part of Bacon’s #GOATsongs series, in which he performs famous songs surrounded by his goats. In this version, however, the actual goats are replaced with an animal figure. “We’re not with the goats, but we found a GOAT song,” Sedgwick says in the video.

The pair exchange lines from Cyrus’ song, with Bacon playing guitar and Sedgwick sounding the cries of the toy goat. Bacon and Sedgwick perform the opening verse and chorus of the original song before the actor jokingly thanks the stuffed goat as they part ways. “Good job, sir,” he said. See below.

Flowers” is the latest in a long line of songs covered by the star of Free from all ties during the last years. In 2020, Bacon shared a cover of Radiohead’s “Creep,” which was followed last August by a rendition of Beyoncé’s “Renaissance,” “Heated.” On other occasions, the actor has covered Harry Styles’ “Late Night Talking,” the viral TikTok song “It’s Corn,” and Tears For Fears’ “Head Over Heels” with help from Jimmy Fallon.

Meanwhile, “Flowers” was covered by Inhaler last month as part of the band’s first Live Lounge performance. The song will be part of the tracklist for “Endless Summer Vacation,” Cyrus’ eighth studio album, which will be released on March 10. It’s not yet known if a collaboration with SZA – who shared her excitement about “working” with Cyrus last month – will feature on the record.

Bacon and his brother Michael form the folk duo project The Bacon Brothers, which they started in 1994. The couple’s latest album, “The Way We Love,” arrived in 2020.
