2023 got off to a good start and several major releases received critical acclaim, but one major title in particular wasn’t so lucky. Square Enix’s open-world action-RPG Forspoken received mixed reviews and was criticized for a variety of reasons related to its open world, writing, and technical issues, although it appears developer Luminous Productions tries to solve many of these problems.

Via Twitter, the developer recently confirmed that they are working on a patch for Forspoken which will bring improvements in “updates and fixes to performance, graphics, gameplay, and general game content.”

Of course, we’ll have to wait for the patch notes to get any concrete details on what this will entail.

Meanwhile, Luminous Productions also states that it is committed to continuing work on the game in order to address criticism. “We are committed to making Forspoken the most enjoyable experience possible and will provide an update on the next patch schedule as soon as possible”wrote the developer.

Forspoken is available on PS5 and PC, and is set to receive a DLC titled In Tanta We Trust this summer.
