Motion Twin has confirmed the Castlevania-inspired DLC release date for Dead Cells.

According to Evil Empire, the Return To Castlevania DLC is “our own love letter to the grandfather of Dead Cells”.

Announced earlier this week during a Nintendo Direct, Dead Cells: Return To Castlevania will be released on March 6.

The DLC will bring “two new biomes” to Dead Cells where players can “use iconic weapons like the vampire slayer, throw an ax and throw holy water against classic enemies like merfolk, bone throwers and a enchanted armor on your warpath to defeat. to Dracula himself.”

“Three epic boss fights await you throughout the Haunted Castle, there’s no prize for guessing who one of them is,” the developers continued.

Originally announced late last year, Motion Twin and Evil Empire said: “Yes, one of the biggest, if not the biggest, inspirations behind Dead Cells is being reimagined in our fast-paced gameplay and frenzied with our most ambitious DLC yet.”

The expansion will also include over 60 Castlevania themes and will cost $9.99 (£8.30). Dead Cells: Return To Castlevania is available on PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation.

Meanwhile, during the Nintendo Direct, the company shared a new trailer for The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom and gave a new release date for Advanced Wars 1+2.

Nintendo has also confirmed that several Game Boy and Game Boy Advance titles will be available on Switch, through its expansion pack subscription service, as well as a new steampunk-inspired Professor Layton game.
