Expected on October 28, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is the subject of many rumors two big weeks before its release. Yesterday, we were talking to you, for example, about the possible arrival many footballers like Neymar and Messi as probable operators. This week, the same insider announces having spotted clues concerning the game’s single-player campaign: a DLC would be planned for the end of 2023:

EXCLUSIVE: The campaign DLC will be released at the end of 2023 with the map pack that I have already leaked.

Indeed, it was last week that this same insider revealed information concerning the follow-up of the next opus of the license: a big premium (i.e. paid) DLC would be planned for the second year of CoD MW II and would integrate the maps of Modern Warfare 2 from 2009 as well as the biggest successes of the license. What give grain to grind to the players, some of whom believe that adding paid content (especially around the campaign) was shocking especially since they are already paying the game full price.

Of course, this is not official and we will have to wait for an official announcement from Activision to be sure.

MW 2: official campaign info

A narrative DLC around the single player campaign which would therefore be released a little before this big batch of new cards. What probably add a little toppings to a campaign that would be of sixteen missions (14 for that of 2009 to be completed in a little half a dozen hours. A short lifespan for many players who regularly point the finger at the recent but regular lightness of these adventures cut for the solo mode.

As a reminder, the player will help Task Force 141 (composed among others of the legendary John Price and Simon “Ghost” Riley) which goes to war against terrorism and drug cartels.

A campaign that mixes old and new as some sequences from the 2009 game will be reimagined. Something to get excited about gradually before the release of the title on October 28, on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. On this subject, it is the players who have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 who will be able to get their hands on the new adventures of Task Force 141 since they benefit from 7-day early access for the campaign.
