Jim Halpert excelled in his sales position at Dunder Mifflin. This was surprising given that he had never made an effort to succeed in his job. He just hung out at Dunder Mifflin while he tried to figure out his life and convince the receptionist. However, when Jim decided to take a big step in his relationship with Pam and buy a house, everything changed.

When Michael Scott decided to leave Dunder Mifflin, he left a day early to avoid a harsh farewell with his former employees. However, he couldn’t fool Jim, who decided to say his own goodbye while respecting the “joke” Michael had made to the rest of the office.
