Whereas there may be places of Hogwarts Legacy in which we get stuck, I wanted to bring you a guide to the main missions of the game’s story to be able to go through them in a fluid way, which you can consult by clicking in this same link. However, on this particular occasion, I want to concentrate andn one of the longest main missions in the game: The Return of Jackdaw. Of course, first of all, I leave you with the complete game guide so that you have it handy in case you need it.
Guide to completing the main mission The Return of Jackdaw in Hogwarts Legacy
To activate the next mission, you will have to go to where the game map itself tells you to talk to the ghost of Jackdaw (the one you met in the previous mission). Once you talk to him, you’ll have to follow him through the Forbidden Forest until you reach his tomb and enter it.
Follow the main cave path until you come across a door closed by orbs. To open it you will have to hit them with a quick knock in quick enough succession for the door to eventually open.
To walk through the web, it is enough to burn it using the Fire spell (which, by the way, is also very useful against the spiders themselves). Face several fights against several spiders and continue to advance in the main way of the cave.
You will come to an intersection where you have two paths: one going right and one going left. The one on the right will take you to a puzzle with a flying platform that is extremely easy to solve. You’ll need Accio from the edge of the first one to pull it, jump towards it, and Accio again on the one at the other end to move to that same ledge. There you will find a chest and some money.
If you go back to the point where the path splits and go left, you will come across a door that opens, again, launch a basic attack on each of the 3 orbs that will be nearby. In this case there will be 2 next to the door, you will find the third leaning a little in the ravine on the left, as shown in the following image:
Go through the door and continue towards your objective without forgetting to explore certain corners of the stage where you will find useful resources such as opals and gold. There will be a time when you come to another section similar to the one I described earlier. Do you remember when I told you about a platform that levitates and on which you have to move using Accio? Also; this puzzle is identical. In this case, if you go up on the platform on the left you will find a chest and if you continue straight you will continue on the main path.
After exploring the different paths through the large area where you will now find yourself and having done some additional puzzles very similar to the previous one to obtain gold and other resources in secondary chests, you will have to go down a ramp until to reach a large esplanade with an underground lake. Here you will face another group of spiders where the matriarch is introduced as a new enemy. That shouldn’t be a problem as long as you throw things from the stage and take advantage of your special attack every once in a while.
When you’re done with the fight, you’ll run into one of those doors again that open when you lightly attack three orbs around it. In this case there is one under the bridge, another going up the ramp towards the door and a third next to it.
Go through the door, finish the fight against the statues, continue forward to the point indicated by the game and you will eventually reach the map room to have a long conversation with a character named Percival. When you’re done talking to him and exiting the map room, you’ll have completed the quest.
