This is the case of Gekko, the restaurant he owns and which offers a proposal of Japanese grills. It was born from the idea of David Grutman of Groot Hospitality and the Puerto Rican himself.
Located in Miami, Gekko has hosted thousands and thousands of people since its inauguration last August. One of them is the Spanish tiktoker Sandra, who lives in the United States and is responsible for bringing the culture of the country closer to her followers around the world.
Now, the young woman has gone viral with one of her latest videos in which she visits Bad Bunny’s gourmet trade to give her humble opinion (and also the prices). The post has over 8,000 likes and 2.3 million views.
In the video, Sandra shows that Gekko’s menu features a meat dish worth $1,200. Moreover, he shows everything she asked to prove and he does it with the naturalness and sincerity that characterize him.. Granita oysters, gold lobster balls, gold tuna nigiri, sushi, Japanese wagyu crispy rice, chimichurri wagyu steak and a volcano of dulce de leche These were his favorite dishes, on which he could only give a positive opinion.
But the most important thing comes at the end: the account. Dinner cost them $370 including tip. Oysters are priced at $28; dumplings, $36; crispy wagyu rice, $34; salmon sushi, $26, golden nigiri, $39, wagyu steak, $105; and dessert, $18.
One fact worth mentioning that Sandra herself reveals in the video is the importance of dress code. He had attended Gekko the previous night with his boy, but they refused him entry despite wearing shorts. So to eat at Bad Bunny’s restaurant, you have to splurge on elegance.
