Eight were left dead and two seriously injured this Sunday by the fall of a cable car cabin in Stresa, a seaside resort on Lake Maggiore in Piedmont (north of Italy), announced a spokesman for the rescue services.

“The provisional balance is eight dead and two injured, taken as an absolute emergency to the Regina Margherita pediatric hospital in Turin,” spokesman Walter Milan said.
