Two young sisters died this morning after a violent accident in Lanús Oeste. According to the witnesses to the accident, the women were moving along with five other people in an Audi that hit a column at high speed, located at the intersection of Rivadavia and Viamonte streets.

According to the preliminary tasks of the Police, it is believed that the vehicle was traveling at more than 150 kilometers per hour at the time the driver lost control.

Civil Defense arrived, arrived in the area at 3:45 a.m. and together with firefighters they had to cut part of the car to rescue three victims who had been trapped in the back.

At that moment, they noticed that one of the occupants, 22, had lost her life. His sister was rushed to Hospital Evita, where she finally passed away. The driver of the car was able to get off on his own.

“We took out a young man who was very scared, in a nervous breakdown, asking for his friends. He had multiple multiple injuries like the rest of the occupants of the vehicle. There were no other cars involved in the crash,” said Hernando Jorge, the fire chief who participated in the operation.

In addition to hitting a column, the car destroyed the front of a lottery venue and caused part of its roof to collapse. Such was the violence of the accident that the engine of the imported vehicle broke off and ended up several meters from the rest of the machine.

The one in Lanús was not the only accident on this Good Friday. A red Chevrolet Tracker and a Toyota Corolla collided in Independencia and Lima, in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. Witnesses say the truck crossed the red light.
