From the Province they indicated that they will continue to deliver food modules and cleaning items in schools. The monthly investment of 184 million pesos.
The Ministry of Social Development of Entre Ríos, through the Directorate of Canteens, will continue in April with the delivery of food modules and a Milk Cup in 1,063 educational institutions, which means a monthly investment by the provincial State of more than 184 million pesos.
In accordance with the nutritional goals established by the Nation and in order to promote the consumption of fresh products and meet the nutritional needs of school-age children and adolescents, from the delivery of the modules in April, the service of dining rooms will incorporate seasonal vegetables and fruits of different varieties, which will allow to deepen the line of work that had been developed through the Milk Cup module.
“Since the pandemic began, with Governor Gustavo Bordet and in coordination with the national government, we decided to focus attention on the most urgent, which was to strengthen food policies to accompany families who are in vulnerable situations. From that moment we have been consolidating a strategy with local governments to guarantee good nutrition for girls, boys and adolescents, taking care of the particularities of each Entre Ríos community ”, said the Minister of Social Development, Marisa Paira.
On this, the Undersecretary of Food Policies, Lautaro Valdiviezo, highlighted: “There is a political decision of the provincial government to guarantee presence in schools , prioritizing the education of our gurises. Based on these directives, the Ministry has adopted this modality, understanding that it is the best strategy that we can carry out to ensure the correct functioning of the food programs in the different educational institutions throughout the province ”.
For his part, the director of Canteens, Ariel Wilvers, explained: “It is a priority to guarantee the food approach in all institutions at all levels of the province, adapting to the context we are currently going through, taking into account the definitions that are taken at the national and with special consideration in the correct nutritional needs, so that the elements that make up the modules improve the contribution of dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, proteins of high biological value, and kilocalories of children and adolescents ”.
From the Social portfolio, it was highlighted that the strategy is implemented within the framework of a work articulated with the General Council of Education, the Departmental Directorates, the directors of educational institutions, the Ministry of Health and the kitchen staff in charge of assembling and delivering the modules, strictly respecting compliance with the current protocols to guarantee the service of dining rooms and Milk Cup throughout the province.
Cleaning booster
Due to the health emergency context that continues to be experienced, reinforcements will also be provided for cleaning in all school institutions in the province that provide the service of dining rooms and a glass of milk, which among other elements will include bleach, liquid or gel alcohol, soap for hands, floor cloth and gloves.
