After having already passed into the hands of two other directors, the next feature film dedicated to the adventures of Lara Croft will find a new realist and screenwriter in the person of Misha Green, known in particular for having created the series Lovecraft Country.

Initially scheduled for March 19, 2021, the next movie Tomb Raider Following 2018 reboot starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft has been postponed indefinitely, possibly due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. In the meantime, the film had lost its director, Ben Wheatkey, who had signed on to direct In Troubled Waters 2, sequel to the first opus released in 2018 in which Jason Statham faces a Megalodon.

Fortunately, the MGM which produces the film has just announced that it has found a new director to carry out the project as reported by the cinema site. Deadline. It is therefore Misha Green who we know in particular for having been an executive producer with Jordan Peele and JJ Abrams and especially a showrunner on the series Lovecraft Country on HBO. In addition to playing the role of director, Misha Green will also be a screenwriter on this new Tomb Raider movie.
