Tandav is an Indian political drama web television series on Amazon Prime Video, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

Saif Ali Khan portrayed the role of a powerful politician in the series that started streaming from 15 January 2021 on Prime Video.

Tandav TV Series Review

Writing for The Hindu, Sayan Ghosh called the series “a lackadaisical attempt at portraying India’s diverse polity” adding that the “drama series is riddled with cliched troupes and larger-than-life figures, that only provides a glimpse at the project’s lost potential”. Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV rated the series 2 out of 5 stars, writing “Tandav is more fluff than fury.”

The new nine-part web series Tandav wears its politics on its many sleeves, the action divvied up in a couple of parallel strands. There’s the ‘strong’ party which has been in power for ‘two terms’, with its ruling satraps, uber ambitious leaders eyeing the ‘kursi’, and faithful henchmen (and women) who know that real power vests in those who stay behind the throne, because they can see the enemy most clearly.

‘Boycott Tandav‘ trended and netizens attacked its IMDb rating as a scene featuring Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub allegedly ‘hurt sentiments’ of Hindus.

Twitter was filled with comments under the hashtag ‘Boycott Tandav’ over a scene allegedly showcasing Hindu Gods in poor light. The objection seemed to over a scene where one of the protagonists played by Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub was apparently playing a character shaped on Lord Ram, holding a stick with what looked like the Trishul at a college theater festival.

Tandav has been leaked illegally by torrent websites worldfree4u, fzmovies, and tamilrockers. These websites always leak newly released movies, TV shows, and web series. But it is quite difficult to find their official site because the government of India regularly Bans their domain names to reduce piracy.
