We have known since October that Hitman 3 will be released for the Nintendo Switch. Only the release date was previously unknown. IO Interactive has now put an end to this uncertainty by announcing the release date of the Switch version on Twitter.
Together with the versions for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox One Series X | S, the game will also be released for the Switch on January 20, 2021. The title will be playable on the Switch using cloud streaming technology. The same system has been used in Japan for titles like Resident Evil 7, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and Phantasy Star Online, and outside of Japan for the Ultimate Edition of Control. To play Hitman 3 on the Switch, you need an active internet connection.

The Metacritic page for the cloud version of Control suggests that the game can be played okay on the Switch, depending on your internet connection. Not the best way to play the title, but acceptable. From Hitman 3 (buy now € 59.99) one can expect similar results.
Hitman fans have also been able to look forward to a video of the first five minutes of Hitman 3 and a VR gameplay trailer for the title in recent weeks.
