Over half a million dollars is what a family and loved ones say they gave to a man they say gave them a great opportunity to multiply their money. Telemundo 52 Responde presents the first part of this special file.

The Gonzalezes contacted Telemundo 52 Responde convinced that they had been the victims of a huge fraud. Today, after months of investigation, we were able to speak with more than a dozen people who, like them, claim to have handed over hundreds of thousands of dollars to the same man, without receiving what was promised. But how did it all start? We tell you.

Doña Marina remembers the illusion she had thinking that she would help her whole family to earn a lot of money.

“The first thing I invited were my children, all my children. From there, my children invited other people,” said Marina González, who invited her family to participate in an investment for other people.

He claims he received the proposal after attending a finance seminar in 2021, where he was told that if he invited others, he would earn a commission. And he says his guests were supposed to multiply their funds quickly. As? Well, according to the contract his children and relatives later signed, they would have lent money to CG Bank, a private bank allegedly located on an island near Africa.

The document of one of them says that for every $10,000 loaned to this bank for a year, he will receive a little more than $2,000 a month, that is, after 12 months, his $10,000 would have become about $24,455. . A gain of 141.2%.

After receiving a complaint from a couple who were unsure whether their attorney had actually filed their case with the immigration department or if they were in fact licensed to practice, our Telemundo 52 Responde team investigated.

“My brother and I were already looking at the dollars, weren’t we? And my mother was very happy because she only had to invite the person,” said Joshua González, Marina’s son (he invested $105,000).

“They explained that if you invite people, you will be paid $450 for each unit invested by that person. And the thing looked very good!

And Mrs. Marina, indeed, received her commission, at first.

“October 15 was my first check, $2,745.00 on November 15, December 15…” he added.

After receiving payments for three months, says Doña Marina, she was encouraged and invited more people. And their children too.

“A friend at $50,000, another at $30,000, another at $20,000… And do me a favor! We are embarrassed.”

The shame they feel is that, according to what they say, the payments have suddenly stopped, for everyone.

“In January they gave me no more, no more than three months they paid me,” he said.

And most of his guests say they never received a single payment in February 2022, more than a year ago.

Telemundo 52 Responde went looking for the man they want, signed the contracts and got his money, and tomorrow we’ll tell him what he found.
