Game of Thrones actor Thor Bjornsson announces death of his daughter
Thor Bjornsson, actor of the series Game of Thrones, announced this Friday the death of his daughter at only 21 and a half weeks of gestation.
It was through his Instagram account (@thorbjornsson) that the actor shared an emotional message accompanied by photographs with his wife and baby.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the birth of our daughter, Grace Morgan Hafthorsdottir, born on November 8 at 21 and a half weeks gestation.
After a noticeable decrease in movement we discovered that her heart had stopped beating.”
The actor who played Gregor Clegane “The Mountain” in the famous series added that “words cannot describe her grief at the loss.”
“She is absolutely beautiful, with blonde eyelashes and eyebrows and a little smile for mom and dad. The love we feel for her is overwhelming.
The pain we feel will be with us forever, but so will the love. All our hopes and dreams for her have been taken from us, but I know I will be with her again.
Her spirit lives on through us and her brothers.”
Thor Bjornsson asked that her privacy be respected and thanked for the words and support at this time.
After the news was released followers of the actor expressed their condolences through messages written in the publication.
“I am so sorry. Prayers for all of you and for her.”
“All love and grace to you my friends.”
“I’m sorry you are both dealing with the pain of this. She is beautiful. My wife and I have experienced this as well. It almost tore us apart. Just be there for each other and talk to each other.”
