Rumor assures that the iPhone 15 will have the thinnest edges ever

We still have about six months to go before Apple announces this year’s iPhone series, but rumors on the models that will compose it now they have been around for a long time.

The most recent is the one that talks about increase that prices will unfortunately suffer, and it’s that the already expensive iPhone is going to need us to scratch our pockets a bit more. That said, there are several alleged major improvements to the phones that could be behind the price hike.

But going back to the last rumor, we have to talk about screen edges of the iPhone 15 Pro Max (or Ultra, if the name change ends up being confirmed). The information is “prepared” which says that they will be the thinnest ever seen on a phone till date.

It’s a very bold statement, but it’s not completely unbelievable. The popular leaker ice universewho does not sew without thread, says edges would be 1.55mm (0.06 inches), which would beat the previous record of the Xiaomi 13with its edges measuring 1.81 mm (or 0.07 inches).

It’s not exactly a small change, but it could already be debated if it was something unnecessary. A much better improvement, for example, would be to reduce the size of the camera island. Of course, Apple could do both and deliver a much cleaner screen to its users.

What’s a little weirder is that IceUniverse talks specifically about the iPhone 15 Pro Max, without mentioning the model any of the others. We still doubt that all four phones in the family will have the same benefits, but there are things that are reserved for the two most premium models.

The rumor of those super-thin edges also lines up pretty well with information from some recently leaked iPhone 15 dummy test units, which also they were aiming for those smaller edges, so they will be somewhat curved (but with the totally flat screen) and a larger camera.

In other words, it is becoming more and more obvious that Apple is looking to “beautify” its next line of phoneschanging the design more than it has in the past two generations.

One thing that remains a mystery is the alleged iPhone 15 Ultra. If the Pro model already comes with enough improvements, what will the Ultra version need to be even better?
