The Eco of LOS40 joins, one more year, a new edition of Earth Hour, organized by the WWF, which will take place on March 25th. The ECO of the LOS40 thus adds a new sustainable initiative to the 40 it had committed to after its launch in 2022.

On Saturday, between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m., LOS40 will shut down its website, turning it black. Thus, El ECO of LOS40, which during the first month concentrates its action on a territory: the planet and on a specific cause: pollution, will turn off for 60 minutes “the lights” of LOS40, LOS40 Classic, LOS40 Urban and LOS40 Dance, as a symbol of the fight against climate change. Additionally, all LOS40 brands will be speakers for Earth Hour across programs, websites and social media, to amplify it and bring many listeners to join the WWF initiative.

Through this challenge launched in 2017, each year more than 190 countries worldwide at the same time they turn off the lights of the most emblematic homes, businesses, buildings and monuments, a moment when the whole world listens to the same melody, that of the planet.

Since 2019, all stations in the LOS40 universe have taken part in this initiative, contributing to the achievement of SDG13, Climate Action, from the United Nations 2030 Agenda. This year it does so through its El Eco campaign from LOS40 which, through this wink, seeks to raise awareness of the need to join the fight against climate change and the importance of taking care of the music house health, our planet .

About L’ECHO du LOS40 2023

In 2022, LOS40 launched its El Eco de LOS40 campaign, a project where music and ecology come together to carry out 40 sustainable initiatives. This year, the LOS40 ECO establishes five key territories in which to act: water, air, forests, animals and the planet itself, emphasizing the different ways in which they suffer the consequences of human action: pollution, drought, fires, disappearance of animal species… The LOS40 ECO will call to action the listeners and users of LOS40 to address these issues in each of the proposed territories. Thus, LOS40 and its followers will unite during this year 2023 to try to reduce pollution, help curb water waste, contribute to conscious mobility, influence awareness of fire prevention and fight against the disappearance of animal breeds. The LO40 ECO will dedicate two months to each territory and cause, informing and raising awareness, and with different initiatives such as the Eco Talks (conferences of experts, which artists will also join, to explain the problem and generate debates, creating a space sharing ideas and initiatives on ecology and sustainability) or the implementation of different challenges and activations with the aim of mobilizing the public to raise awareness and generate changes in habits.
