- The Type Zero Yoriichi battle doll is a relic over 300 years old elder who for several generations has been used to train new demon slayers.
- The doll was designed with a total of 6 arms for one reason only: it was the only way to imitate the movements of the swordsman he was inspired by: Yoriichi Tsugikuni.
- For those who still have doubts, Yoriichi talks about the user who originally created Breath of the Sun. Additionally, it is revealed to us that Muiichiro Tokito, the Pillar of Mist, is a direct descendant of Yoriichi himself.
- By the time Tanjiro finds the Type Zero Yoriichi doll, it is in a deplorable state due to continuous use and the passage of time. However, the doll ends up being the key for a clear reason: to give Tanjiro what will be his next and last katana.
Everything You Need To Know About The Nichirin Sword That Was In Yoriichi Type Zero (SPOILERS)
- Some of you might have guessed it at this point, but the Nichirin Sword that sits inside Type Zero Yoriichi is nothing more or less than the katana that Yoriichi Tsugikuni himself used at the time.
- Obviously, like Type Zero Yoriichi, Yoriichi’s Nichirin Sword is less than optimal. However, it manages to stand the test of time to the point that the work of the village blacksmiths will allow Tanjiro to use it again.
- Yoriichi’s Nichirin sword is, like Tanjiro’s, one of a completely black color. Because? Well, because this color is the one that symbolizes swordsmen trained to use the Breath of the Sunand it is not that it is a harbinger of untimely death as is generally believed among blacksmiths and swordsmen.
- On the other hand, it must be said that Yoriichi’s Nichirin Sword is indeed the best katana of all Kimetsu no Yaiba. In fact, it is easy to say that the reason Tanjiro kept destroying katana after katana was because none of them were ready to withstand a Breath of the Sun user’s power.. However, Yoriichi’s Nichirin Sword has the necessary qualities for this.

This is definitely one of Tanjiro’s most pivotal moments as the Demon Exterminator in “Kimetsu no Yaiba,” and it’s that if he hadn’t found Yoriichi’s sword, it’s possible he would have continued to destroy all the creations the blacksmiths made for him, each time at a faster rate. With Yoriichi’s sword in hand, the franchise’s protagonist is now more prepared than ever to take on the mightiest of demons.
