A shooting in the area of ​​Northwest 95th Avenue and University Drive in Coral Spring ended in the death of one person while another was injured on the afternoon of this past Thursday. Both victims of the event were 18 years old.

The suspect in the shooting is in police custody to try to determine the causes that motivated him to commit the crime.

“I couldn’t understand what it really was, but I knew it didn’t sound good,” a neighbor told Local 10 media. “In fact, I saw them place one of the victims on the ground and they were doing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. I think maybe 15 minutes after that, I saw them carry a woman out on a stretcher, and she was really screaming, so I knew she was alive.”

The Broward County police deployed a SWAT team in the area where the shots were fired to prevent other similar cases, since the origin of the shots was unknown at the beginning.

More than an hour after the shooting, police said on social media that they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the shooting and that the situation was under control. At the same time, they advised vehicle drivers to avoid the area due to the intense police activity.

Another shooting occurred outside a Miami casino

This past Thursday another shooting took place outside a casino in Miami where 3 people were injured, 2 of them received direct bullet hits and one was grazed by a projectile.

A shootout between people in a white car and a dark sedan spread over several blocks, eventually passing through the Miami Jai-Alai Casino parking area at 3500 NW 37th Ave.

Heavily armed agents rushed into the Miami Jai-Alai Casino. Detectives and Miami Fire personnel covered an area between 35th Street and 36th and 37th Avenues.

So far the causes of the shooting are being investigated.
