Shingeki no Kyojin: What’s the rumble? Origin and operation

“Shingeki no Kyojin” has many key elements that take his story from “good” to absolutely amazing. Without a doubt, The Rumble is the most catastrophic event of all “Shingeki no Kyojin” and surely of anything seen in anime and manga history. I think the closest thing I’ve seen to something like this is “The Eclipse” from “Berserk”, more than because of the destruction it unleashes (which ultimately in the latter is ultimately not that much), because of this feeling of “false apocalypse” created by an incredibly strong will.
