During the event Legends, the Suicide Squad embarked on a mission to capture Brimstone. During his pursuit to eliminate Brimstone, Blockbuster is killed. The Squad realized it was a suicide mission, but it was a success for Waller, who did not expect any of the members to survive.
9 Amanda Waller Was Going To Erase Plastic’s Memories 
Amanda Waller is a spy specializing in protecting political threats and secrets; it makes sense that he leads the Suicide Squad on a mission to take down the terrorist group Jihad. While this mission was not one of Waller’s disastrous missions that he hoped no one would live on, the mission went awry when Plastique betrayed the squad by offering his services to become a member of Jihad.
To Plastic’s surprise, he was in the process of making a deal with Nightshade. In response to Plastic’s betrayal, Amanda Waller orders Doctor Moon and Karin Grace to wipe Plastic’s mind. Rick Flag doesn’t like Waller’s decision and tells him he crossed the line.
8 He Wanted To Silence Captain Boomerang 
While trying to protect the people from G. Gordon Godfrey, who was trying to turn them against the superheroes to prepare for Darkseid’s arrival, Captain Boomerang was attacked by Godfrey’s followers and captured.
On live television, Boomerang was tortured by Godfrey’s followers, who threatened to lynch him, but Boomerang took the opportunity to denounce Task Force X if they did not come to his aid. Angered by Captain Boomerang’s threat, Amanda Waller orders Rick Flag and the Suicide Squad to take violent action to keep Boomerang from speaking out.
7 Amanda Waller Eliminated The Team, Again 
Waller sent the Suicide Squad to destroy the Manhunter Temple. What Waller failed to mention was that the bomb was rigged to detonate anyone in close contact with it, including squad members.
Captain Atom was on a similar mission to the Suicide Squad, and when he realized the Squad were unaware they could be killed in the explosion, he decided to join forces with them so he could absorb the bomb. There were a few bumps in the road, but eventually, with the help of Firestorm and unbeknownst to the Suicide Squad, Captain Atom was able to save them all, no thanks to Amanda Waller.
6 Threatened To Reveal Batman’s Secret Identity 
As she prepared to leave the Suicide Squad headquarters in Belle Reve, Amanda Waller realized that Batman had found the secret facility and they were infiltrated. The Suicide Squad attacked Batman, and in their fight, the Caped Crusader threatened to expose Task Force X.
Upset by Batman’s threat, Amanda Waller issues her own threat, stating that she will publicly expose Batman’s secret identity. Waller was not only hypocritical at the time, but he put a bigger eye on Task Force X by threatening a hero as persistent as Batman. Batman decided to leave, but vowed to continue pursuing the organization.
5 Waller Sent The Suicide Squad On An Assassination Mission 
After superhero Vixen discovered that drug lords had murdered her modeling team, she turned to the US government for help. The government named Amanda Waller and her Task Force X on the case. Because the responsible drug trafficker, Xavier Cujoi, had strong influence in Colombia, the government could not press charges against him, so they had to take illegal measures to bring him down.
While this seemed like heartbreaking news, it was good news for Amanda Waller, who decided the drug lord needed to be killed. The group’s acting leader at the time, Nightshade, wasn’t too amused by committing murder and told Waller that it wasn’t good justice.
4 Amanda Waller Disobeyed A Government Order 
Following the death of a senator who was allegedly killed by the Suicide Squad, Amanda Waller was placed under investigation. Members of the White House who knew of the existence of Task Force X and the Suicide Squad chose to ignore that they knew of the team’s existence.
After the government decided to continue using the Suicide Squad and Task Force X, they also declared that Amanda Waller was no longer the team’s leader. Turns out the new frontman was an actor and Amanda Waller was still pulling the strings. If anyone found out about Waller’s lies, the whole team would be under surveillance, but it’s clear that Amanda Waller only cared about herself.
3 Waller Puts The Suicide Squad In Danger With The Government 
Despite the fact that Amanda Waller was no longer the legal leader of the Suicide Squad, the team members remained loyal to Waller’s leadership. When Waller learned that a drug trafficking organization called the Louisiana Ordnance Association (LOA) had created a drug that zombified its users, he set out to personally eliminate them.
Although no one really sleeps on the extinction of a drug trafficking organization, Amanda Waller’s action has once again caught the attention of the government. The team members who aided Waller on the mission, Poison Ivy, Deadshot, and Ravan, risked disobeying government orders if they remained associated with her.
2 Fire Blackmail To Be Her Killer 
Although Amanda Waller has blood on her hands, she likes to use others to clean hers. In the revamped Checkmate series, Waller was renamed White Queen and put in charge of policymaking, but unsurprisingly, Waller went on her own agenda.
After learning that Beatriz Da Costa, aka Fire’s father, was an assassin and was training his daughter, Amanda Waller blackmailed Fire into becoming an assassin again. Waller tasked Fire with killing a Kobra agent he couldn’t take out earlier.
1 Amanda Waller Got Too Excited Trying To Delete Eclipso 
There’s no doubt that Eclipso is one of DC Comics’ most powerful super-villains. With her divine abilities and dark magic, Eclipso is a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately for many heroes, the challenge of pursuing Eclipso under Amanda Waller’s leadership would end in her demise.
Amanda Waller led a team of heroes called the Shadowhunters to defeat Eclipso, but it ended up being an absolute bloodbath. Almost all Shadowhunters have been killed by Eclipso, including Wildcat II, Doctor Mid-Nite, and Peacemaker. Even though the Phantom Stranger ended up trapping Eclipso’s soul, Waller should have investigated further to put together a stronger team to avoid such a large number of casualties.
