They investigate allegations of abuse against spiritual counselor in the Mexican Caribbean

Authorities from the state of Quintana Roo, Mexican Caribbean, assured in the last hours the Akalki Holistic Center, in the Bacalar resort, where they carry out investigations for different complaints of sexual abuse and the possible existence of a human trafficking network, against the spiritual advisor Ricardo Ponce.

Personnel from the entity’s Attorney General’s Office confirmed to Efe that formal complaints have already been filed in this case, but no further details were provided because at this time the state is under an electoral ban due to the June 6 elections.

According to sources, a group of agents of the Investigative Police of the Prosecutor’s Office carried out a search this Wednesday at the aforementioned Holistic Center and after several hours of work the seizure of the place where Ricardo Ponce offered self-healing retreats was ordered.

Police proceedings in the center are part of an administrative folder.

Last weekend, the youtuber Maire Wink publicly denounced through her social networks that she had been sexually abused and spoke about the existence of a sexual network. As a result of this complaint, many Mexican actresses have exposed their cases.

Yareni Courtenay, in charge of the place, confirmed to the media that Ponce held spiritual retreats periodically and on some occasions they rented the entire place.

“We are totally oblivious to the events that take place here,” he said while explaining that they only provide accommodation services.

The accommodation center is staffed by 10 workers who also live inside the complex and who were evicted at the time of being insured, along with some national tourists who were at that time.

The manager pointed out that when they rented the entire place for the Ponce retreats, they only took care of feeding the guests and cleaning the rooms.

The self-healing retreats offered by Ponce had a minimum average cost of 55,000 and up to 71,000 (between $ 2,700 and $ 3,500).

The last one she made was from May 28 to 30, but just on Saturday 29 the complainant Wink uploaded to her networks the video titled “I fell into the sexual sect of Ricardo Ponce”, which to date has more than two million reproductions .

After Wink made his complaint public, the hashtags #MetooRicardoPonce #ricardoponceabusador went viral.
