They found the body of Ana Karen in the black waters of the Endho de Hidalgo dam

After three days of arduous search, this Tuesday the body of Ana Karen “N”, the 19-year-old who was carried away by the current of heavy rains registered last Sunday in the municipality of Tlalnepantla, in the State of Mexico.

Around 11:00 a.m., residents of the community Saint Ana Ahuehuepan, in the municipality of Tula de Allende, in the state of Hidalgo, reported to 911 that they found the corpse of a female person floating in the waters of the Endho dam.

Elements of the municipal police and Civil Protection arrived at the place, who said that it is a woman with a robust complexion and semi-naked, 1.65 meters tall, with a purple Converse tennis and a blue t-shirt.

The mayor of Tlalnepantla confirmed that the body was found in the sewage of the Endho dam drain.

The place was protected so that personnel of the Attorney General’s Office of Hidalgo (PGJH) to carry out the corresponding legal proceedings.

After a few hours, the authorities they called their relatives, who went to said entity to recognize it. Upon arriving and seeing her, they explained that it was her, based on the sneakers she last wore.

The above was confirmed on Tuesday night by Raciel Perez Cruz, mayor of the municipality of Tlalnepantla, as he assured that all physical characteristics and clothing match those of the victim. So he said in an interview for Newscast.

“About two hours ago we were notified by the Public Ministry of Tula that the body was found, which was floating in the sewage of the drain and all the physical characteristics and clothes that Ana Karen was wearing the last time she was seen alive coincides with that finding.”

It is worth mentioning that, during the search work this Tuesday, a divers team that went through the drain of the La Presa avenue and the Los Remedios river, in the State of Mexico, they located the motorcycle in which Ana Karen was traveling with her boyfriend Dennis, before the incident.

And it is that both they tried to cross the flooded street in the Lázaro Cárdenas First Section neighborhood; however, the current swept them away by force.

Dennis, 23, managed to save himself after being able to grab onto a tree and be rescued, but the young woman did not have the same fate and disappeared near Club Alpino Arqueros street.

In social networks a video circulated in which Dennis is observed, grabbing the post asking for his companion. The people who record the video yell at him to hold on and to calm him down, they tell him that the young woman has already been rescued.

During the search, Alicia Díaz, mother of Ana Karen, shared with Newscast that she had already given up hope of finding her daughter alive, but asked the authorities to hand over the body of her daughter to be able to say goodbye to her.

“I already lost hope of finding my daughter, my little girl alive, but I want to say goodbye to her, please find her body.”

It also pointed out that Ana Karen was going to go to university to study medicine.

Meanwhile, Dennis is in a red cross hospital; although Civil Protection reported that he was transferred in detainee quality for his alleged responsibility in crossing the flooded street, Mrs. Alicia Díaz indicated that her intention is to drop all charges against him.
