The rollover of a passenger bus left at least seven dead and multiple injuries on Boulevard 2000 near Popotla, the Tijuana Police Department reported.

According to the authorities, Tijuana firefighters came to the support of their counterparts in Rosarito, after a traffic accident on Tuesday night.

18 smoke-eaters arrived at the site as well as two rescue units, two firefighters and an ambulance to support the rescue efforts of the more than 50 passengers on board, according to Tijuana police.

Shortly before 10:30 pm the authorities reported that seven people lost their lives, and another six people were in red condition, five in yellow, and 23 in green condition.

The authorities indicated that they continued in the area for the transfer of the wounded to hospitals.

At least 50 were reportedly injured, including 20 in critical condition, when the bus carrying the Hyundai factory workers crashed in the Tijuana-Rosarito 2000 Corridor in Playas de Rosarito, Mexico.
