The deputy Javier Mela (UCR), through a communication project and a note addressed to the Minister of Health of the Nation, Carla Vizzotti, urged that the National Government ” reinforce and increase the doses of the coronavirus COVID 19 vaccine to give priority to the Province, given the complicated health situation that the neighboring states of Paraguay and Brazil are going through, and the permeability of our national borders ”.
Given that more than a thousand kilometers of international borders surround Misiones and that “the permeability of our border crossings makes it impossible to stop the transit of people beyond the fact that the borders are formally closed,” Deputy Javier Mela asked the National Government to evaluate a differential vaccination treatment in our province.
Considering the situation that the states of Paraná, Santa Catarina and Río Grande do Sul of Brazil are going through, as well as the Republic of Paraguay, which are with their sanitary systems collapsed, the legislator demanded that the greater quantity of doses of vaccines against Covid 19, as a tool to prevent the spread of infection.
“By restricting border mobility and having a greater quantity of vaccine doses, our Province will have all its inhabitants inoculated in a short time,” he said.
