Is Playstation Banned in Russia?

The embargo against Russia is widening more and more, even for iconic products of hitech: Sony has in fact ordered the stop to shipments of PlayStation in Russia and suspended the operations of the online store.

The gaming giant is just the latest global brand to have suspended operations in Vladimir Putin’s country after the invasion of Ukraine. “Sony Interactive Entertainment joins the global community in asking for peace in Ukraine – they officially explain to the parent company – we have suspended all shipments of software and hardware, the launch of Gran Turismo 7 and the operations of the PlayStation store in Russia”.
Japanese technology and entertainment giant Sony Group later said it had donated two million dollars to the UN refugee agency and Save the Children “to support the victims of this tragedy”.
