Liverpool and Brentford were worthy of making a beautiful match this Saturday, for the sixth round of the Premier League. With three goals for each side, the team led by Klopp is leader of the competition, provisionally, with 14 points, but lost the chance to shoot at the top. Brentford now has nine and is in ninth position.
On Sunday, October 3rd, both teams enter the field. At 10 am (GMT), Brentford visits West Ham at London’s Olympic Stadium. Later, at 12:30 pm, Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield.
The game – Liverpool started dominating the game and arrived with Salah, at six minutes, close to the first goal. The attacker received a shot from Jota and touched the goalkeeper’s exit, but Ajer arrived with a cart to take off the line. Brentford responded in kind at ten. Mbeumo appeared face to face with Alisson and played to get the goalkeeper out. Matip arrived to avoid the first goal of the match.
On minute 26, Pinnock opened the scoring after a rehearsed move. Canós received it on the right side and crossed in the mouth of the goal. Toney dodged the letter and the defender appeared to complete. Liverpool quickly drew. Four minutes later, Henderson received it on the right wing and crossed just enough for Jota to head into the corner.
At 38, Raya made a spectacular save to prevent the comeback. Jones hit from outside the area, the ball swerved and hit the crossbar. In the leftover, Jota submitted and the goalkeeper achieved a miracle.
In the second half, Liverpool turned with Salah, who reached the fifth goal of the season. Fabinho made a great throw and found shirt 11 inside the area. The attacker hit the back of the net first. At 17, in a crying goal, Janelt split with the marking and managed to send it to the empty goal and left everything the same.
After four minutes, the nets received a shot from Jones in favor of Liverpool. The defensive midfielder dominated outside the area, shifted to the middle and hit his right foot, sending a bomb at the angle. At 36, everything was the same again in London. After a cross from the right, Wissa fought for the ball inside the area and managed to submit. He slapped the ball out of Alisson and left the third noted for Brentford.
Leeds loses to West Ham
Leeds received West Ham earlier and lost a 2-1 comeback. The Brazilian Raphinha opened the scoring for the team led by Marcelo Bielsa, but took the turn with goals from Junior Firpo and Michail Antonio.
The highlight was for the forward Raphinha, who is the team leader in offensive numbers. The player is the top scorer for Leeds in season (3), the biggest waiter with ten assists, and the one who finished the most (19).
