Before the meeting this Sunday, February 7, the American artist Miley Cyrus joined the Super Bowl musical party. Viewers were able to enjoy the pre-game show on the social platform TikTok, one of the most popular during the pandemic.

Miley Cyrus spearheaded the first TikTok Tailgate in Super Bowl history and it aired on the official NFL account. He had as assistants members of the health staff, who are already vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Cyrus took the stage in a black and purple leather cheerleader outfit, singing Hey Mickey by Toni Basil (which he changed to Hey Miley ). She then transitioned to a rendition of her and Dua Lipa’s song, Prisoner .

“Thank you very much! Welcome to TikTok Tailgate everyone. This is my first show in about a year, and I couldn’t imagine a better way to do it than in Tampa, surrounded by health heroes, ”Cyrus addressed the crowd. “We are very grateful for you and all your diligence. And for that, let’s rock! ”Said Cyrus.

The presentation was acclaimed by the followers of the pop star, who was very sentimental for doing the first concert in the United States with an audience since the pandemic began.

During the performance of the song Wrecking Ball , Miley could not hold back tears in one of the songs that is most personal to her.

“Thanks guys, ” Cyrus told the crowd of healthcare workers. “You know a lot more about this than I do, about medicine, and you know, sometimes we have to take a big spoonful of pain.”

The singer noted that Wrecking Ball is about “feeling completely broken and shattered” and said it meant so much to her that her fans felt identified with those lyrics.

“I wear a lot of shine and a lot of armor, but I also have a heart, and it breaks a lot,” he confessed.

Cyrus then transitioned to her latest song, The Climb , which is about “never giving up and never giving up ,” Miley said.

“Every time I feel like giving up, like it’s not worth the fight, I’m going to think about you,” he told the audience, ending his performance. “I want to thank you. You are our heroes. They are an idol of mine. I admire you. I hope that one day I can see you all again and sing some more songs for you. It has been my deepest honor and privilege, and I will never forget it. Gratitude, “concluded the singer.
