The short video platform offers more and more functions, and today we will show you how to use TikTok to listen to music, enjoying the sounds that stand out the most on the platform, saving them to, who knows, use in your videos in the future.

It is worth noting that the function is still new, so over the next few weeks and months, more news should emerge. TikTok has been closing partnerships with festivals, such as Rock In Rio: Lisbon, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the platform’s official social networks for news.

How to listen to music on TikTok

The way to listen to music on TikTok (Android | iOS) is quite simple. Users can find hit songs on the platform, through the menu on the home screen and, once they have saved the track, through the library. During the tests, it was possible to continue listening to the music even using another application, however, if you close it completely, the music ends.

  • Open the app and, in the top menu, tap on “Music”;
  • The user is taken to the popular music area on the platform;
  • Swipe down to change music;
  • In the side menu, in the second image below, you can tap the save symbol to have it in your library;
  • In the top menu, tap the “Music” icon and tap “Library” to find the ones you saved.

In this way, the user can listen to songs, between the selections on the platform through the “Daily Mix” menu or those that have already been saved through the “Library” menu.
