Rapper allegedly attacked the victims with four other men

One of the most controversial rappers of recent times, 6ix9ine was arrested last weekend after being accused of assaulting two music producers in the Dominican Republic. Local police confirmed that Daniel Hernandez – the artist’s real name – was taken into custody in the city of Sanchez.

According to information published by TMZ, the assaults were allegedly motivated by the producers’ jealousy of Hernandez’s girlfriend, Yailin La Más Viral, who is also a rapper. Diario Libre reported that the artist was in the studio recording with producer Diamond La Mafia, but left before her boyfriend arrived with four other men.

Dominican Today reported that police had obtained an arrest warrant for Hernandez, who agreed to turn himself in over the phone. Unconfirmed reports said that the New York rapper would try to flee the country in a jet.

In March this year, 6ix9ine was hospitalized after being assaulted inside a gym in South Florida. He suffered bruises and cuts to his face. In 2019, Hernandez pleaded guilty to armed robbery and other charges such as extortion as part of a plea bargain.
