Romeo Santos confirmed the death of his uncle due to the coronavirus

The bachata singer Romeo Santos He used his social networks to spread the sad news of the death of one of his closest relatives, his uncle Eduardo, who died after an arduous fight against the coronavirus.

Through his Instagram stories, the former Aventura member shared a photograph next to his uncle. Along with the snapshot, he wrote a brief message explaining that his relative had entered the hospital two weeks ago for a chest ailment.

“I don’t like to use my social networks to give bad news, much less get used to giving details about personal matters. However, because of the affection that I know that many ‘Roemistas’ have for my uncle Eduardo, I inform you that about 2 weeks ago he was admitted to the hospital due to chest discomfort,” wrote Romeo Santos.

“There he was diagnosed with COVID-19 and his health was getting worse with other complications. With a lump in my throat, astonished and with difficulties to accept this reality, I share with you that on Wednesday night my uncle left us, but he left in peace.” Santos added.

In his message, the bachata singer assured that his uncle was “a man full of faith, faithful believer in God. That is why I know that now he is in a better place”.

Likewise, Romeo Santos thanked his fans for showing their affection for his family. “I appreciate your prayers and condolences. I love him and will miss him every day of my life, until we meet again.”
