After an investigation opened more than a month and a half ago, the National Criminal and Federal Correctional Court No. 1, responsible for Judge Maria Romilda Serviniand the Immigration Affairs Division of the Argentinian Federal Police (PFA), managed this week to identify the alleged leaders of an agency that allegedly handled irregularly and with great speed the granting of some 70 permanent residences in the country to Russian citizens, mostly women: several of them pregnant.

As reported GlobeLiveMedia Last Thursday there were two searches in the neighborhood of Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires during which, according to what they explained to judicial sources, important documents were obtained to advance the investigation and also to identify the alleged leaders of the organization.

As the sources in the case confirmed earlier this week, the woman, who lives in an apartment she rents in Puerto Madero, for $3,000 a month, receives two AUH (Universal Allowance for Children). This was reported by the National Social Security Administration (Anses) in the file. Apparently, she would be the owner of the agency. She entered the country in November 2021 and in April 2022 she started collecting AUH for her two children. According to judicial sources, Judge Servini will denounce this fact so that it can be investigated in another legal case.

Following one of the raids carried out by the federal police, they seized four cell phones, three laptops, a USB key, two possibly apocryphal driving records, 66,920 dollars, 2,670 euros and documents relevant to the business such as passports, immigration documents, residence certificates.

But they didn’t do it selflessly. According to sources in the investigation at GlobeLiveMedia, “through fallacious and lucrative maneuvers”, the organization facilitated the procedures for obtaining Argentine documents for immigrants. For their services, offered to Russian families with high purchasing power, they charged a significant amount of money.

From what they could establish, to enter the country, they paid from 20,000 to 35,000 dollars. Then they designated a hospital for the birth of their children, who became Argentine citizens. Thanks to this situation, they then managed apocryphal documentation, filing procedures and Argentine citizenship in record time.

The plan, however, was not just to keep the Argentinian DNI. The main purpose of having their children born here and obtaining citizenship was, be able to emigrate to countries in Europe or the United Statessince the Russian passport does not accept entry to these places.
