Last Friday, before their concert date, the band arrived in Tijuana to meet and sign autographs with their fans in a busy public square in the city, when a group of armed people burst into the event in firing shots in the air are a threat to the group.
Subsequently, on one of the city’s busiest boulevards, just two kilometers from the tourist area, a banner was found with a message signed by the CJNG in which they directly threatened the band’s singer, Arturo González. , known as “Panther Warlike”.
The situation was dismissed by the group, which made it known on social networks that the concert would continue.
However, the next day the event took place in the facilities of the media company Uniradio, where people also opened fire on the facilities, in which no injuries were reported, only material damage.
In the face of constant threats, the promoters of the event and the group itself shared a statement in which they indicated that it was an instruction from the state government to suspend the event, stressing that “At Grupo Arriesgado and GA Music, we prioritize the integrity of our audience to whom we owe , as well as that of our work team”.
Regarding these incidents, the state government authorities did not comment and the Tijuana authorities only issued a statement in which they indicated that “the Tijuana City Council respects the decision of the promoters to suspend the event. and the concert”. ECE
