There National Migration Superintendency, better known as migrations indicated that they had set up a new office next to the headquarters in Breña in order to deal with specific cases.

This measure has been taken to expand the service capacity of users in the Headquarters of Breña.

“A new space for the attention of Peruvian citizens who carry out the emergency passport process and special cases, Permitted Migrations, next to the headquarters of Breña”, reads the publication of the control agency of the country’s immigration.

Remember that despite the new measure taken by migrationsusers continue to report problems finding an appointment at any of the locations.

As mentioned in the publication made by the agency, attention will only be paid to certain procedures and these are:

– Emergency passports. Includes passengers who have a travel ticket scheduled within the next two days.

– Passports for scholarship procedures.

– Passports for student exchange

– Passports for health trips.

One of the changes reported by the institution is that the service that corresponds to foreign citizens will no longer be carried out at the headquarters of Migrations Breña. This is to expand the great demand for care that they have from Peruvians.

All the services that the entity offers to foreign residents will be carried out at the headquarters of Jirón Carabaya, in the Center of Lima.

Through a press release, migrations confirmed that 60% of call duty in the establishment is because users have made electronic appointments.

40% correspond to emergency passport procedures and special attention. Since the beginning of the current administration, they have published 100,000 electronic passports.

By resolution of the Superintendency No. 000070-2023-MIGRACIONES, the procurement of travel documents has been authorized, where more than 540,000 documents will be obtained to satisfy the demand of Peruvians, in response to the request of passports.

The contract has an estimated value of S/12.3 million, which includes the respective taxes.
