The events occurred after residents of the community belonging to the district of Yautepec, Oaxaca, they will notice the situation.

According to information shared by IR Oaxaca, the imprisonment of the “kidney” has occurred since last Wednesday, February 8, the day the dog was transferred to a cell in the commune, where he is waiting for someone to claim for him.

It should be noted that according to the municipal ordinance, it is forbidden for dogs to circulate on public roads without the accompaniment and control of their owners. According to the municipal decree, the person responsible for the animal who leaves his pet under these conditions is liable to an administrative fine.

It should be added that in 2019 Oaxaca became the first state in the country to have a court specialized in the care, eradication and punishment of animal abuse.

The main function of this court is to correctly apply the Sanitary Regulations for the control and protection of domestic animals, in force in the entity.
