NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points and the Cleveland Cavaliers held a double-digit lead for most of their 118-107 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday to extend their winning streak to five games. .

Evan Mobley had 28 points and 13 rebounds and Jarrett Allen had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Cleveland, which ended a three-game winning streak for New Orleans.

The Cavs shot 56.5 percent (48 of 85) and outscored the Pelicans 70-58 in the paint and 41-34 in the rebound.

Brandon Ingram finished with 25 points in his fourth straight game with at least that score for the Pelicans, while Trey Murphy had 17 points and CJ McCollum had 12.

Cleveland was one of three teams that had made no signings as of Thursday afternoon’s market close, a move that appeared to solidify its 22-point first-half lead. He was up 25 on the restart and his earnings did not drop below 20 until the last bars when most of his starters were already on the bench.
