With over 20 years of experience in the music business, Shakira managed to get one exposure at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. This one aims to break the received ideas that we have of the singer by showing the Versatility and all the nuances surrounding his career.
“People can have a concrete idea of who is Shakiraas a rocker or as a pop star, and I think this exhibition is going to give the public a more complex notion,” she revealed to EFE Jasen Emmons, curator Shakira, Shakira: The Grammy Museum Experience.
This exhibition has just opened in the United States and is organized in four bedroomsin which different facets of his career are discussed and bring the public closer to the author of Anthology A 55 iconic objects which Shakira has used at key moments in her career.
Costumes, notebooks and photographs
Among them, the two suits he wore to the 2020 Super Bowl, the crystal-studded pink guitar he played on his tour of Oral fixation in 2007, one of his notebooks with handwritten songs and the Spanish-English dictionary that helped him compose the songs for Laundry service.
Participants will also be able to listen and see Shakira recounting her life as a singer, the challenges she faced as a Latina in the industry, and curious anecdotes she experienced during her more than 30 years of musical experience.
