A stretch of freeway in Malibu reopened on Thursday after a terrifying landslide filmed blocked the road for hours.

Malibu Canyon Road was blocked Wednesday afternoon south of Piuma Road due to rockfall and a landslide triggered by recent rains. The trail reopened Thursday morning.

The dramatic slide was captured on video, which shows a law enforcement officer at the scene struggling as the hill crumbles. No injuries were reported.

The landslide was one of many this week, including one that closed a stretch of Mulholland Drive in the Beverly Crest area. The Canyon Highway above Los Angeles was blocked after a backyard hill collapsed on Tuesday.

The latest in a series of winter storms left the area on Wednesday. Dry conditions are expected throughout the weekend.
