Nv Energy announced that more than 5,800 customers are without power on Monday afternoon.
Of the cumulative, 3,625 are without power in southern Nevada, according to their website.
It should be noted that the Las Vegas Valley recorded winds in excess of 40 miles per hour, but the company did not report that service was affected by weather conditions.
