February was a month that left us with many great games like Hogwarts Legacy, Atomic Heart and Octopath Traveler II, and for that very reason it has so much merit that Son of the Forest ended up becoming one of the most successful. Despite its early access, Endnight Games’ survival game has won over audiences on Steam and sold over two million copies in a single day. Awesome.

One of the aspects that stands out the most about this title is its graphics section, there is no doubt about it. And for this reason, many users face problems when playing games with acceptable performance. Son of the Forest It is a fairly ambitious work and can easily present a unstable framerate, for this reason it is very important to establish a balanced configuration.

The best settings for gaming on PC

Many computer games include a benchmark tool that helps establish the best settings for the PC you have, but this does not guarantee stable performance. This is why I propose below the best settings to be able to play with a fairly good framerate (offered by the medium PCGamesN)

  • draw distance: Viola
  • ambient occlusion: Ultra
  • fog quality: Viola
  • Anisotropic textures: Enabled

Will Sons of the Forest be released on consoles?

Endnight Games is currently only working on the PC version of Sons of the Forest. However, there is a good chance that the game will eventually come to more platforms. The Forest, the previous work of this study, had a version for PS4 which was very well received by the community.

Also keep in mind that this title is still in early access. Granted, when 1.0 is released, the developer will start with ports to PS5 and even Xbox Series X | S.
