We have a problem as a community and that is that our Palm Beach County Animal Protection and Control Dog Shelter is over capacity putting the lives of many dogs at risk. But we are the ones who can help in this critical situation.

Melanie Perrazo, Animal Care and Control Public Relations, says:

“Right now we have 144 dog stalls in our shelter and now we see up to 200,220 dogs in our care.”

The situation is critical at the Animal Care and Control dog shelter in Palm Beach County. So many animals meant they have to put two dogs in the same space. But the community can help.

“We ask people to adopt or who can help us find homes for our dogs.”

During this time, the idea is that the person promotes the adoption of the animal among his relatives.

“We give him food, a cage, medical care and also a collar.”

And if you want to adopt, be aware that adoption during the month of April is free.

Our request is that you be encouraged to adopt and if you cannot at least take the opportunity to give temporary shelter to one of these beautiful dogs and surely an acquaintance, friend or family member will fall in love of him and adopt him.
