I always love it when I see manga authors coming together with a common goal: to try and up the popularity ladder of another manga artist’s work a bit. Thus, on this occasion, it was possible to see how Athe creator of works such as “A punch” and “Mob Psycho 100”, as well as Sui Ishida, best known for “tokyo ghoul“, they decided recommend to your readers a book that I personally appreciated at the time: “The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace”.

- The anime is listed as a work ‘for adults’and it is not for less: the violence and gore are a constant in the story, as well as some characters with clear sexual overtones. Come on, personally, I don’t recommend it for a 5 year old, for example.
- On the other hand, I must say that I loved the anime. this one short in charge of MAP and has a excellent animationin addition to a feature that I personally love and that can be found in anime like Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure or Dragon Ball Z (some of their films): the constant inversion and alteration of the color palette. With that, the anime is incredibly vibrant visually.
- As to why The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace isn’t better known if it’s supposed to be as good, it’s possible the answer lies in this the original material suddenly ceased to be published years ago. Despite the fact that there has been an active manga for some time in the form of a remake of the first work (which was a webcomic that brought together the creators of Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and Interspecies Reviewers), the truth is that the story has barely advanced from what the anime has collected, and so thinking about a second season becomes a bit difficult…unless it’s completely original.
personally I would be more than happy that “The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace” got a second anime season, but like I said the storyline is less than ideal for something like this to be announced. All in all, I have to say that the reverse reading that the good guys were “broken” and the bad guys had to work hard to get their Quirks back always struck me as very interesting and distinctive. In any case, although it is an incomplete story at this point, I also join in recommending it.
