Somewhat surprisingly, Nintendo released Metroid Prime Remastered for Nintendo Switch in the past Direct., but what surprised us the most was its imminent release after the live broadcast. Because yes, since February 8, many of us have been enjoying this space adventure, exploring the planet Talon IV. And I must say that the experience was much better than I expected.

No, it’s not the first metroidvania I’ve played in my life, in fact it was Hollow Knight that made this genre one of my favorites, but it’s the first time I’ve played it. tried a 3D one. It’s surprising, and not a bit, how well the level design works in this game, and how it manages to translate the Metroid formula almost perfectly into 2D. Really, taking command and exploring the entire map in the Samus Aran Suit is a great experience.

And yes, I know I’m talking about this title as if it was first released a little over a week ago, but that’s because I haven’t had the chance to play it. on its Gamecube and Wii versions. Fortunately now I appreciate it so much that the only thing I can do is recommend it to you in this video:

The best version of a great game that paves the way for Metroid Prime 4

Nintendo’s strategy with this release is clear, making the Switch the perfect console to release the fourth installment in the Metroid Prime saga. At the moment we can only enjoy this Metroid Prime Remastered, but it wouldn’t be surprising if the second and third installments of the saga reach the Nintendo hybrid before we can enjoy Metroid Prime 4. And you? Are you already enjoying this remaster?
