The coroner’s office on Sunday released the name of a 3-year-old boy who was pulled unconscious from a backyard swimming pool in Porter Ranch with his twin brother and taken to hospital, where he died and l the other was in critical condition. .

Police also attended the scene to investigate how the children ended up in the pool, but said there was no evidence of wrongdoing and described the matter as a ” tragic accident”.
A city emergency response team was dispatched to the scene to assist family and neighbors.
“It’s important to remind people with pools to do four things, especially as summer approaches,” Scott said. “The first thing is to secure your pool with the appropriate barriers; the second is to appoint a guardian of the water when the children bathe; the third is, if there is no child in the house, first check the water; and the fourth is to learn CPR.
