Federal agents executed a search warrant Wednesday at Rudy Giuliani’s Manhattan apartment as part of a criminal investigation against him by federal prosecutors that has been ongoing for months, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Giuliani, who served as personal attorney for former President Donald Trump, has been the focus of an investigation into his activities in Ukraine. He has not been charged and has denied wrongdoing.

A spokesman for the Manhattan federal prosecutor’s office declined to comment. The New York Times newspaper was the first to report on the search.

It is unusual for prosecutors to execute a search warrant against an attorney, although federal prosecutors in Manhattan have done so before, especially in recent years against another former Trump attorney, Michael Cohen.
