Dragon Ball Z brought the Super Saiyan into Akira Toriyama’s story: the legendary warrior so feared by Freeza and about whom Vegeta makes so much talk, had finally made his appearance on the planet Namek and it is our Goku who officially made history. This will only be the first of many other transformations.
We already knew Goku was special from the start of the original Dragon Ball manga, but in Dragon Ball Z he showed he was still capable of surprising a little more than expected. Above all, the revelation of his past was a fundamental aspect that no one could imagine until then. Just regarding Goku’s past, fans are always eager to learn more about his family, and especially his father Bardock.
In the franchise of the series today we can count countless forms and power-ups, canonical and otherwise, which also relate to this character (who, as we know, has never achieved a transformation at the canonical level) . However, the author of the most famous fanmade manga, Dragon Ball AF, has long wanted to give Bardock a form he has never officially reached until now: Super Saiyan 4.
A welcome gift
Super Saiyan 4 is one of the most beloved forms of Dragon Ball fans due to its aesthetics and story, even though it is not canonical to the original story. Despite this, nothing prevents you from imagining what Bardock SSJ4 would look like, and the author of Dragon Ball AF wanted to give this vision to the fans: we therefore see him with the transformation introduced in Dragon Ball GT, while wearing his iconic red belt very narrow on the forehead and still retains the tones of its original dress.
As we said before, the one who goes by the name of Tablos on Instagram is the author of Dragon Ball AF as well as the creator of Super Saiyan 5 (where his profile takes its name from), the white-haired Saiyan turned so popular that it fooled many fans who considered it an official form. The author wanted to dabble a few years ago with this drawing of Bardock, thus crowning one of the biggest fan fantasies of the franchise.
