Crash, like Spyro, are two video game characters who marked the childhood of many gamers, including me of course. When Activision surprised us with the announcement of Crash Team Rumble At The Game Awards 2022 gala, the hype that was generated was seen miles away and it’s no wonder.
Activision presented Crash Team Rumble as a completely different game from the previous installments we already know. And why? Well, because the game would focus on the multiplayer section of 4 against 4 players and many mythical characters of the saga would be present. But your community keeps asking a question about the game: will there be a story mode?
Crash Team Rumble will NOT have a story mode
- That question Toys for Bob replied, the game development team itself.
- The study placed special emphasis on its multiplayer section through an interview.
- The story mode is something that, to date, it is totally excluded or at least, since Crash Team Rumble launch day.
- Otherwise, they confirmed that the game will receive a lot of additional content, but they haven’t specified anything beyond that.
- This leaves open the possibility that in the future it will receive a single player mode.
How is Crash Team Rumble going?
As I said before, Crash Team Rumble will focus on a multiplayer section consisting of 4vs4 competitive matches. The games will have many types of challenges that players will have to complete defeat before the opponents, above all, get the most Wumpa fruits before the end of time. Each character in the game will have a different role, in addition to their own abilities.
Release date and game editions
- Crash Team Rumble will be available June 20, 2023 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
- The title will be available on cross-play between all platforms.
- These are the two editions that Crash Team Rumble will have and which can now be reserved:
- Standard Edition:
- Includes limited time game modes
- seasonal events
- Season 1 Premium Battle Pass
- Its price will be 30€.
- Deluxe Edition:
- Includes all of the above from the Standard Edition plus the Season 2 Battle Pass
- The ‘Proto Pack’ (unique banner and skins)
- All Premium Season Pass content from T1 and up to level 25.
- Its price will be 40€.
- Standard Edition:
Crash Team Rumble will have a closed beta
- To get there, it will be necessary to have the reserved game.
- The beta will be available from April 20 to 24 on all platforms.

Do you think that in the future they will surprise us with a single player mode as additional content? I still think anything can happen and the possibility is more than present, otherwise they would have outright denied it.
