A fire that broke out early Wednesday morning at an apartment building in Buena Park left several families temporarily homeless.

Firefighters responded to the 7700 block of 10th Street at 2 a.m. and found the flames had spread to an adjacent building, according to the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA).

Forty firefighters took 51 minutes to extinguish the fire.

Damage to the building is estimated at around $2 million and $250,000 to personal property, the authority said.
