Habitually, billionaires’ investments span multiple domains such as real estate, space sector … But at the beginning of the year very surprised when it became known that Gates uses a part of his fortune to acquire land for agriculture in the United States.

As reported by the media The Land Report, the businessman and his wife have become the main private owners of US farmland by area. Specifically, they are attributed about 98,000 hectares distributed by Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, California and a dozen states.

Although his investment jumped to the media at the time, the marriage did not confirm the news. But Gates himself has revealed the reason for this investment after a user’s question via a Reddit forum: it does per recommendations of your group and is not related to your fight against climate change.
